Product & Strategic Design
I joined Una Health as their leading designer during the company's most critical phase: just after their digital healthcare application launched in the German market, with the ambitious mission to reverse metabolic diseases, starting with diabetes type 2.
As the leading and only designer, my role evolves far beyond traditional product design. I became the design voice across the entire company — from core digital product work and service design to strategic direction setting. Leading the design of our healthcare professional platform, I conducted comprehensive market research, explored opportunity areas spanning customer value to commercial viability, and played a pivotal role in shaping the product roadmap and overall company strategy. But design's influence extends throughout Una Health.
I support marketing initiatives, guide customer support to improve service delivery, and collaborate with clinical teams to ensure our solutions meet both user needs and medical standards. By positioning design as a strategic function rather than just a creative service, I helped establish design thinking as core to how Una Health approaches everything from user engagement to business development.
This holistic approach allowed me to demonstrate design's value beyond pixels and prototypes — showing how design methodology can drive business outcomes, inform strategic decisions, and create cohesive experiences across every customer touchpoint.
